About Captain Clay

I have lived on the water in Crystal River Florida my entire life and have worked very hard to be one of the top producing captains in our area. I especially love to target shallow water species including trout, redfish, snook, tripletail, and cobia. However, between October 1st and December 31st my passion is for one of the tastiest fish in the Gulf of Mexico, the gag grouper. We have one of the best fisheries in the state and I would  be happy to introduce you to our area. If you love to fish, want some exciting action inshore, offshore, or in shallow water, then I have the knowledge, ability and equipment to get you and your family on the bite.

My Inshore Boat

My inshore fishing trips are aboard a custom rigged Young Boats Gulfshore 24. This boat was built to run in 6 inches of water to get us into the shallow creeks for trout and redfish but will also eat up a 2ft of chop while were on our way to catch grouper and cobia. It’s powered by a very reliable 350 horse power Suzuki, 4 stroke engine. The boat is rigged with ample dry storage for customers to store their belonging. It also has a 120 quart drink cooler for your beverages. This beautiful boat is furnished with a Minn Kota Ipilot trolling motor, twin 10ft power-poles, and the best Simrad Electronics on the market. All of these tools allow us to provide one of the best inshore fishing charters around.
